Belkar BitterLeaf.

Decided to practice my inking skills and drop something down on this here blog at the same time.

The guy up above is called Belkar Bitterleaf,  and he is my favorite homicidal hobbit from the great webcomic The Order of the Stick.
The pencils were drawn a long long time ago in a Tampa Bay Florida far far away by a fantastic illustrator that I am proud to have had occasional correspondence with, Ben Mcsweeney, more popularly known as Inkthinker.

The guy is definitely very good, and everyone needs to check out his stuff.

Gonna try to update more often, draw more often, excel more often. Wish me luck :)

Weblo Sausage?

Hey, don't ask me, some of these commissions are just plain weird as hell.

a friend of mine commissioned me to create this image for a friend of hers. it is based off of a likeness of her friend, Zoe.

i was given 4 parameters for this assignment :

1. Had to look like Zoe
2. Had to reference Stephen King's Dark Tower series in some way
3. Zoe wanted to be a zomebie (ok...)
4. Need to include a spider somehow, Zoe loves spiders.

Grr.

I was inspired by this awesome artist who calls herself Miss Monster. She makes these really cool monster face medallion things (and many, many other very fun things as well) and I wanted to give it a try. I can see myself doing a lot more of these in the future, they are crazy fun to make.

He's a trooper.

Zombie soldiers stepping on Halfling mages? Yes please.  This was done in response to reading an upcoming RPG sourcebook which mixes fantasy tropes with post-apocalyptic ones so you get weird stuff like smart zombies with guns. Seemed like a fun thing to draw.
